Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that upcoming summits of NATO and the Organization of Turkic States would significantly enhance Ankara’s international visibility and reinforce its role in global diplomacy.
Speaking at a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party’s Central Decision and Executive Board in Ankara, Erdogan said the events would elevate the Turkish capital’s standing on the international stage.
“With the NATO and Organization of Turkic States summits, Ankara’s international visibility will increase as never before,” Erdogan said.
“Our capital will make a name for itself as a center of global diplomacy,” he added.
Erdogan made the remarks during the party meeting held at the AK Party Congress Center in Ankara.
