Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call on Sunday with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussing ways to expand cooperation and further deepen bilateral ties, Turkey’s Communications Directorate said.
In a statement, the directorate said the two leaders reviewed potential areas for closer coordination and steps to advance relations in line with shared interests and the welfare of both countries’ peoples.
They reaffirmed their commitment to building on recent momentum in Turkey-UAE relations across multiple fields, with particular focus on development-oriented partnerships.
The call also addressed regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the latest developments in the region and diplomatic efforts related to them.
The statement added that a meeting previously scheduled for this week has been postponed to a later date, with both sides agreeing to reschedule it at the earliest opportunity.
